Barking Pine Cabin

Barking Pine Cabin is on a quiet street in Talmont Estates, just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach area. The Talmont neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter. The Tahoe Park Private Beach offers 3 acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, playground, and picnic areas.

New modern siding and a large sunny deck overlooking a forested setting greet you at this home. High ceilings and many windows brighten the living area. High ceilings and many windows brighten the living area while the wood-burning fireplace with stone hearth brings it back to cozy. There are comfortable couches in the living room along with an entertainment center, 40" flatscreen TV and Blu-ray/DVD. There are also televisions in the two bedrooms. Each bedroom offers a queen bed, and the loft offers a bunk bed to accommodate 3 more, with a twin over a full-size bed. There are two full bathrooms, one located on each level of the home.

This home is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave and wireless internet, stereo as well as books and games to keep the whole family occupied. Patio furniture and a newer gas BBQ are available during the summer months.

This 2 bedroom, loft 2 bath home is centrally located to Tahoe City and near world class skiing at Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort, and Northstar at Tahoe. Four-wheel drive is recommended during winter months and winter parking is limited to 4 cars maximum.

Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. Dog must be approved prior to accepting a reservation. Please call us for details.

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

  This cabin is in a great location, close to restaurants and hiking trails. It was clean and had comfy couches and beds. We enjoyed having Netflix to watch in the evenings. This is our second year renting this place and we would come back! Rental Company was great to work with.

  Lovely little house - perfect for our family of 5 (parents, 2 young kids, 1 grandparent). Great location, and nice to have a pass to the homeowner's beach! My only criticism was, like at most Tahoe rentals, the bedding is a little dated and could use some upgrading. All of all, we would recommend this rental!

  We had a good weekend, and enjoyed our time at Meeks Bay beach. We didn’t use beach with house as it is rocky and kids wanted to dig in sand. House was clean, although a little outdated-bathroom sinks are low, tub had some kind of glue stain, upstairs was very warm at night. Perhaps fans upstairs and a screen on front door would help. Also, was a bit of a trek to get our bags up the stairs while helping the little ones (as there is no garage going into house) , and two of us got splinters in our palms from the stair rail. I would imagine it would be difficult to climb stairs in the snow. The location was great, close to grocery store and restaurants.

  We stayed at the Barking Pine Cabin and it was everything we hoped for. Paige Meadows is just up the street and we were able to hike in the woods right from the house! The property was clean, key pick up was easy and the Tahoe park beach was awesome. Played basket ball and bocce ball, wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll definitely be back!

  Our stay was fine - the place was not as good as the past years due to the heavy snow this year. The deck and it's furniture need to be improved. One of the kitchen drawers was broken.
  It's a great location and the beach access is a plus.
