"Svenska Hemnet I Tall Arna" - Small home in tall trees . . . The Gelber's cabin has been recently remodeled and is located near Ward Creek in the Pineland area. Relax on the back deck and enjoy your favorite beverage!

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home has a washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, large gas range and convection oven, woodstove in the living room, television with cable, DVD, Bose radio with CD, wireless internet, small dining room table and 2 bar stools at the granite counter top. There is patio furniture on the back deck.

Walk to Ward Creek, Sunnyside or the public beach next to Sunnyside. It's also close to many hiking trails and the bike trail which continues down the west shore to Sugar Pine State Park. Enjoy world class skiing within a short drive - Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe!

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

There is an electric fence system at this house to protect it from bears when unoccupied. Detailed instructions will be given to you once booked.

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

    Place is modern, light and airy. Location is quiet and you can hear stream located a few hundred feet away. Walking to Sunnyside restaurant and Bar, or Firesign Cafe is about one Mike away. Been going here for many years.

    We were there for a family wedding. Several others had cabins in the neighborhood. It was very convenient yet still private. The main floor bedroom and bag were a must for mom recovering from a car accident. There are a few steps up into the cabin Wirth a sturdy hand rail. Not exactly handicapped accessible but doable.

    The rental process was simple. The owner was very responsive to questions. I'd definitely rent this again if I have the opportunity.

    The cabin had everything you would hope. The mattresses were very comfortable, pillows were fine, towels were thick, and even toilet paper was of unexpected quality. Many rustic cabins don’t have window screens, making for impossible evening ventilation. This cabin has screens, air conditioning and ceiling fans! So...an attractive cabin with all the creature comforts and a good location!

    Just two of us splurged for a shoulder season week long idyll. A quiet edge-of-neighborhood spot a few minutes from the highway, both convenient and remote. Woods-only back yard. Short drives to trail heads and great day hikes. Well supplied, full kitchen, fast internet, good large TV.

    It was a lovely stay, a quiet street,( except for the construction going on "NEXT" door.) ;0. that'd of been nice to know before renting...but that said, there is a lovely creek behind the cabin just a lil' walk away. The LAKE however is more than a block..and it appears in the advertisement that it's closer....but overall, it is not terribly far, to walk down to the main road (several blocks) and cross over to Sunnyside restort...the waterfront is there. and is very NICE! There were a few things we didn't care for, like not enough TRASH space -there was NO pick-up of it, till Tuesday, we stayed about 8 nights...we had a lot of trash which my husband had to go find places to take our trash too. If staying that long, it'd be nice to have an in-between trash pick-up. Also, my daughter cut her hand on a chipped bowl she didn't see the chip as she was washing it and it cut her palm of her hand. ;/. Needs to be removed. Also the deck out back has rusty nails coming up and if you're out there barefoot as we were, almost stepped on one, Til' I noticed the nails, we put our flip flops on...these need to be hammered down!!! Also, my daughter nearly put her heel through a board that has some serious dry-rot. I feel the Deck needs some attention and maybe a couple "new" sitting chairs! There are 2 lights above the sink, which my husband is 6'2 and kept hitting his head on...;0. For the bedrooms, you really need to put a MIRROR in the upstairs queen bedroom and a chair for outside the deck. A TV'in each room would be nice as well...A few games would've been Wonderfull...The puzzles were cute! There are nice dvd's available to watch. The kitchen was well-stocked... Just fyi~ The pictures of the living area looks WAY bigger on-line than it actually is ~ but, there's Ample space for 6/7 persons if you use the stools at the counter ~ can all sorta watch a movie together... It is A warm & cozy setting and near to town which was great!

    The place was perfect for us the location was absolutly gorgeous with the sound of Ward creek running through the back yard woods
    Simply awesome!!! Cabin was clean and ready to go the Webber a big plus for our fresh caught lake trout and steaks from the local market just minutes away
    Location location location set back far enough in the Forrest for absolute beauty but just minutes away from about anything you could need
    Thanks Westlake properties and see you in the not too distant future
    Only 1 suggestion is have bear proof trash can emptied when new guest arrives so there's space in it for arriving guests between trash pick ups

    Overall wonderful
    The sheets,towels,shower curtain all had stains plus the upstairs bed really need to be replaced. All easy fixes, hopefully done for our next stay!! The kitchen was wonderful with plenty of pots, pans and sharp knives.
    The neighbors are super friendly!

    Very charming cabin, spacious, well designed and extremely comfortable and practical. Kitchen well stocked with all necessary cooking gear. Good TV. plenty of good towels supplied. large deck with all possible sitting amenities. At times the wifi would not work but this is the only little problem encountered and it had nothing to do with the rental.
